BIF . Flow Measurement

BIF Universal Venturi Tubes are unique differential producing primary elements for accurately metering flow. Available in several models, each tube is produced in the time proven UVT shape and dimensions for reliable measurement of flow. BIF manufactures the UVT as both a pressure containing vessel or non-pressure containing vessel.

Pressure Vessels:
Here the UVT hydraulic shape becomes the pressure vessel. This design is commonly used where fabrications can be manufactured of heavy enough plate stock that the line pressure can be retained at the design temperature.
Non-Pressure Vessels:
Insert type UVT's with centrally mounted holding rings are the most commonly thought of non-pressure retaining type devices. These units are mounted between the customer's flanges and are suspended within the pipe sections, similar to orifice plate mounting. The pipe retains the line pressure.
